Still alive. Katy was pleased with the code. I have about a bazillion five line modifications to do for her for next week.

I nearly lost all will to work this afternoon. I went home, played Metroid a bit, ate dinner, and sat around until the very last minute. I finally came back in to work and touched up my report for tomorrow. I threw together some 490-dsp notes. I am going to be way short on material. I will probably only get a half hours worth of instruction out of it.

The 590d progress report is due tomorrow as well. Argh!

Personal Note: I talked to a couple military recruiters today. Yeah, yeah, I know give peace a chance and all that hippie nonsense. It is not that I have some extreme desire to go out and kill people, rather I want to get out of Lafayette, see the world, and have a job where I don't sit in a chair and think all day. I can't say that I am not drawn to the danger as well. You are never more alive than when someone else is actively trying to kill you. Tyler Durden is right.

Tyler: The question, Raymond, was what did you want to be?
...
Raymond: Veterinarian.
...
Tyler: So you need more schooling.
Raymond: Too much school.
Tyler: Would you rather be dead? Would you rather die here, on your knees, in the back of a convenience store?
Raymond: Please, no.
Tyler: I'm keeping your license. I'm gonna check in on you. I know where you live. If you're not working to be a veterinarian in six weeks, you will be dead.
...
Narrator: Come on, this isn't funny! What the fuck was the point of that?!
Tyler: Tomorrow will be the most beautiful day of Raymond K Hessel's life. His breakfast will taste better than any meal you and I have ever tasted.
