The illustration for today is of Saint Nikolaus and Krampus. Today's something*positive strip reminded me of learning about this particularly odd German folk tale. You see in Germany Santa keeps a kind of demon chained up with him. He outsources all the switching and beating and coal and whatnot to Krampus leaving him free to specialize in giving good children gifts, sweets, and type two diabetes.
