Wow, there has been radio silence here for a while now. That is disappointing because a lot of things have happened recently. In the words of Inigo Montoya: "Let me explain... No, there is too much. Let me sum up."

  • I spent a lot of time with Sara with no 'h'

  • Brad came up the weekend before last for an interview. On the evening of the 3rd he joined the Arxan crew for dinner and a showing of the movie Confidence at the Mehlbergs' place.

  • The following evening (the 4th) there was a great deal of drinking at the Cactus. This was special because it was the first time that Chris was able to join us. While our crew remained in control a gentleman at a neighboring table felt that it was acceptable to projectile vomit on Sara, Chris, and me. Thus the evening was cut short.

  • The 5th was much more low key. People filtered in and out of my house visiting Brad. Terry and Lita joined us for dinner. Also in an odd coincidence the unflappable alfowler was in town between nursing jobs and joined us for dinner. After dinner there was Eiswein and conversation.

  • Also on the 5th Bayleigh Jensen (Scott and Cretia's daughter) passed away after a long and debilitating fight with what I understand to be some type of genetic neurological disease. She was eight years old.

  • Brad flew home the morning of the 6th. The Showalters arrived for the funeral late that evening. We cooked potato soup and were happy to be alive.

  • On the 7th Sara and I attended a memorial service for Bayleigh and had dinner with the Showalters, Sara, Lehmann, and Wanke.

  • On the 8th I boarded a plane bound for Sea-Tac.

  • On the 9th I met with Microsoft engineers. I then hopped on a redeye flight back home after an eight hour wait in the airport. Jim and I achieved our goal of fully traversing the airport.

  • On the 10th I arrived back in Indiana, slept most of the day, and had dinner with Sara and her paternal grandfather at the Bistro. Her grandfather is a fascinating man who has seen a lot of history with his own eyes.

  • The 11th was of course Sara's birthday. We had Cajun food and drinks at Eight West.

That brings me to more or less the current day. The weekend was spent recovering from all the activities listed above. Sara left for spring break at her parent's house in Chi-Town on Saturday. I have been busy at work the past couple of days.

My TODO list and my reading list have both become quite long. I am going to need some tools to help with vigilance tasks and an improved system of organization RSN.
