Wow I am really failing to keep this log up to date. Note to self: try harder. This past weekend was the great annual Noland All-Hallows Eve party. As usual it was quite a bacchanal. This was the first year that the party had the benefit of my new and improved salary, which allowed me to provide my guests with more and better booze, food, and decorations. The gags and costumes were as always in very poor taste. Several people did not feel so well the next day and we required a steam vac to restore the carpet. All in all the party was a rousing success. As can be seen in the photo to the left road flares make excellent sources of illumination for jack-o-lanterns. Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting with Sara's family in Chicagoland. We celebrated Jenny's birthday at Ron of Japan. Sara had a dentist's appointment. I was introduced to Sweet Tomatoes. Brad and Castor joined us for a Chicago Blackhawks game as well. I had never been to a Hockey game before and the game is actually much more enjoyable in person than it is on the television. Something strange was going on that night because not only did the Blackhawks win, but the bears won a game and the White Sox won the second game in their World Series sweep. Three Chicago teams won on the same night. I would say the safe money is on an apocalypse sometime soon. Things at work are speeding up. I am working with Fortran of all things. Expect more updates soon. |
