Indiana on Saturday. My lovely girlfriend, Sara with no
'h', and I tried wines from French Lick Winery, Grape Inspirations, Butler Winery, Carousel Winery, Winzerwald Winery, Turtle Run Winery, The
Ridge Winery, and Huber's
Orchard and Winery. While we were there we ran into Orion and his
girlfriend Sarah with an 'h'.
I noticed that many of the wineries were producing various types of fruit wine. This was even more prevalent than the last time I attended three of four years ago. Most of Indiana really doesn't have the geography to produce the best grapes so this makes a lot of sense. While we were there we picked up several pieces of literature about wine trails in Indiana. Does anyone want to go on a hike later in the season?
After dinner at P.F. Chang's we made a B-line to Chicago to watch Sara's brother Charlie graduate high school. He graduated from New Trier on Sunday evening. After which Sara's paternal grandfather treated everyone to dinner at The Noodle. We made it back to Lafayette by 01:30 Monday morning. It was a busy weekend, but it was a lot of fun.
