17:09:58 Tuesday April 10 2007 I have done quite a bit recently. On Thursday I attended Dr Genevieve Bell's talk entitled, "Just like Magic: Anthropological Accounts of Wireless Technology." I think anthropologists should have their research funded if for no other reason than because they tell fascinating stories. As you already know Sara, Mary Ann, Jarred, went dancing on Friday when Bill Nye made an appearance. Sara's Lab mate Mariah actually danced with the science super star. On Saturday we wanted to attend Bill Nye's talk, but were short tickets. Fortunately we managed to scam some off of folks that had extras. The talk was good. I was glad to see a large number of kids at the talk. Bill Nye is a great science educator. On Sunday we woke up extra early and visited my family in A-town. Sara got to see the Church where I grew up. We grilled some food and a good time was had by all. Last night Brad, Sara, and I attempted to cook Dal Makhani. It was a worthy attempt for a first pass, but as always stepwise refinement wins the race. |
